Pawi NAMUKWANYA


My name is Mwizapawi Namukwanya, a 29 year old female Zambian, Christian and  member of the United Church of Zambia .  I am a graduate of Law  from the University of Zambia, with a focus on governance, public policy, Environmental advocacy and social and economic development. I am also a graduate from the School of Intersectional Eco Theology and Eco Justice Witness under Council for World Missions, advocate for social justice and democratic participation through my church the United Church of Zambia.

As a member of the United Church of Zambia, I serve in the Evangelism department  with experience in Mission planning, outreaches, witness and ecumenical witnessing. I am particularly drawn to young people and women, as my social work is grounded in care, mentorship, and community engagement and inclusive  transformative change. I am passionate about Ecumenical witness and my work focuses on Energy Justice and the Just Energy Transition, Food Sovereignty and Climate Justice with a commitment to ensuring that climate adaptation initiatives are inclusive, people-centered, and responsive to the realities of vulnerable communities.

I am hardworking, highly adaptive and currently serve as Chair lady for the Regional Women FLEAT III where my voice is amplified in Just Energy reform, equity, accountability and inclusive participation. I also sit as one of the Zambian youths and committee members of the Zambia National Prayer Breakfast where my voice challenges parliamentarians and stakeholders to think beyond policy documents and Laws but toward human impact in Zambia and for Zambians.
