Phone and data preparation: E-SIM or SIM Card

Please go to your phone SETTINGS and look for MOBILE or PHONE. Look for SIM. For those of you with phones that can take an E-SIM, Please download the eSIM app from ROAMLESS https://roamless.com/esim We will cover an initial credit when you get to Singapore, but after that you would need to top-up if you run out of credit. It will be best if you get the chance to download the app in advance. [You may need to check that your phone is UNLOCKED for international travel. If your phone does not take E-SIM and must only use a physical SIM, we will arrange, but you must let us know in advance, as this is a bit more complicated these days.

Packing

Remember the Packing list is under April 18   While we do provide an international travel plug adapter, you still need to bring the various connectors you need for your devices. You do need to bring a tablet or laptop - please let us know now if this is a problem. It can be helpful to download a language translator App on your phone. but - be sure to check if it works ok for your main language. The Filipino language is Tagalog.

1st Online Meetings

April 18 - The TIMs were organized into 3 groups of 4... but two of them didn't make it! (They will need to catch up later.) The different times were to allow each group to only meet for 1 hour (about the max that works online) and get to know three of the others better. This helps to overcome shyness and nervousness. The TIMs met Amelia, watched Vicki's intro Video and introduced themselves to each other, followed by asking each other questions. We made sure everyone is familiar with the BLOG (you're on it) and knows where to find the resources for the next sessions and the draft schedule. The list for packing is also on the blog, under April 18 .
